Bosnia and Herzegovina's first President, Alija Izetbegović, was commemorated on the anniversary of his death with a meaningful event hosted by Kayseri University (KAYÜ). Kayseri University, Talas Municipality, and the International Balkan Association jointly organized the “Commemoration of the ‘Wise King’ on the 22nd Anniversary of His Death” The commemoration program for Aliya Izzetbegović was attended by Kayseri University Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, Talas District Governor İlyas Memiş, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, President of the Kayseri Bosnian Turks Mutual Aid and Solidarity Association Ahmet Beyaz, as well as numerous academics and students.
