Higher Education Council Member Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman gave a lecture on “Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin and Muslim Contributions to Science” at our University

Higher Education Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman gave a conference on “Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin and Muslim Contributions to Science” at Kayseri University.

Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman, Member of the Executive Board of Higher Education, Kayseri University Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, Erciyes University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Kayseri Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Hakan Dedebağı, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mücahid Soyak, Kayseri Provincial Mufti Durmuş Ayvaz, senate members, many academicians, students and religious officials attended the event held at the Congress and Culture Center on the 15 July Main Campus of our University.

In the opening speeches of the event, our Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa thanked Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman, Member of the Executive Board of Higher Education, for his participation in the conference. Noting that universities carry out their activities as exemplary and pioneering institutions in the regions where they are located, especially in accessing new information and sharing new information with the society, our Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa said, “In this sense, we must first of all comprehend the roles of Muslim scientists, especially Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, who shed light from the past to the present, in the history of science. If we comprehend our history, our past and our existence very well, we will continue to be a civilization that sheds light on the future with self-confidence. I would like to thank all the listeners in the hall, especially our guests, for their participation and wish a useful event.” Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman, Member of the Executive Board of Higher Education (YÖK), explained the life of the late Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin and his contributions to the world of science in his conference on “Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin and Muslims' Contributions to Science”.

Speaking 27 languages and spending most of his life working and producing science, Higher Education Institution Member Prof. Dr. Karaman said that we should take lessons from the life of Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin. Prof. Dr. Karaman noted that the love of homeland, nation, the triumph of perseverance, the triumph of perseverance, the struggle for everything to start again when everything is over, and the struggle to contribute to science are among the lessons we should take from the life of the late Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin.

Referring to the contributions of Muslim scientists such as Biruni, Jabir bin Hayyan, Al Jazari, Ulug Bey, Ali Kuşçu, Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi, Mimar Sinan, who shaped science in the past, Higher Education Institution Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman added that the path to success is through hard work, hard work, persistence and patience on the targeted path.
